The National Marine Aquarium is both the leading force in Marine Conservation in the UK and an exciting visitor attraction. The challenge was to position NMA alongside the likes of London Zoo, The Natural History Museum & The Science Museum as a charity with a serious conservation agenda, whilst at the same time ensuring that the visitor attraction (which funds much of the conservation work) remained an inspiring and exciting place to visit.
A new logo reflecting the four zones of the aquarium. A theme of “Closer than you think” to bring the visitor attraction to life, with particular focus on key child-friendly exhibits. Detailed brand guidelines across a range of merchandise. A 3D architect was brought in to re-map visitor routes and guide.
Although difficult to quantify in the same way as other clients, the fact that a team from the National Marine Aquarium were asked to consult on projects in Dubai would disgust that their position as thought leaders in marine conservation was, at the least, strengthened as a result of the new identity.
